Enact a play by the fireside

Ok. The
winter chill is spreading a gloom that cuts through
to the marrow of your bones.
What are you going to do about it? Well, one thing
you can certainly do is to tell yourself that the
weather should never, ever be a cause for a blue mood.
After
all overcast, gray skies don't happen everyday. Enjoy
the cold weather while it's there. After all, not
every one gets to skate and ski in the snow.

Watching even a single snow
flake minutely - microscopically even! can awaken you to
the delight of watching nature like few things in this universe
can.
Imagine living in the Sahara
desert. It's blazing hot out there.
I don't have to say this to
you but it's only because of the extremes in weather conditions
that you can really appreciate nature when the weather is
just perfect.
Just think, within the cozy
confines of your home with central heating available, you
are talking about how cold and how bad the weather is!
Have you ever paused for a
moment to think about the reindeer, the birds, butterflies
and all the other insects out there in the wilderness of
the mountains braving the harsh winter gales, avalanches
and snowstorms?
Think about it! And you'll
be filled with a burning warmth for all the unfortunate
beings of this universe who are not so privileged as you
are.
A good way to cheer yourself
up, the kids, pets and everyone in the family is to enact
a play sitting by the fireside.
Decide on what costumes you
and all the kids are going to wear. Rehearse the lines.
Get the dictions and the expressions correct. Use a well
modulated tone of voice.
Now, have a good time playing
out your roles.
Invite everyone in your neighbourhood.
You will be amazed at how warm sunbeams of love seeping
out from every pore of your being will radiate such warmth
and joy.
Celebrate life!
The snowfall will then be something
that existed in your mind frames only in the moment that
has passed not in the present moment.
You will never again be so
conscious in the way that you were - of heavy snowfalls.
