The growing rise in the incidence of allergic reactions
to genetically modified food is indeed alarming. Recent
reports by the CDC have brought to light findings that all
the 28 people who filed adverse event reports with the CDC
after consuming corn products containing the Cry9C protein
did suffer a true allergic reaction. The Cry9C protein present
in Starlink corn is an insecticidal protein that is produced
naturally by Bacillus thuringiensis.
