Havana
Brown

If
you are looking for a cat that's more dog like in
nature, then you need to adopt a Havana Brown. They
are believed to originate from a chocolate coloured
strain of Siamese cats. They have also been called
the Swiss Mountain Cat.
These
charming, extroverted cats are even comfortable walking
on a leash. A brown cat with longish kind of head
and a broad nose is an easy way to describe this breed.

They
are what pet owners will call a dream cat. They are comfortable
travelling whether you are flying or merely cruising around
in your boat.Adaptable and intelligent, members of this
breed make lovely pets.
The
medium sized eyes of the Havana Brown are green in color,
oval in shape, expressive, and positioned lower on the head
than those of most other breeds. A high forehead with large,
round-tipped ears, tilted slightly forward is the breed
standard.
Ideally,
the tip of the nose and the chin form a nearly straight
line. The coat is short to medium in length, smooth with
a distinct glow.
Ideally the coats should be red-brown (mahogany) rather
than black-brown. The paw pads should have a rosy tone while
the nose leather should be brown with a rosy flush. The
whisker colours too should complement the coat colour. In
older cats of course, the whiskers turn white as a natural
process of aging.
Disqualifications include a kinked tail, locket or button,
incorrect number of toes, any eye color other than green,
incorrect color of whiskers, nose leather or paw pads.
