Then,
why not let them sun bathe while you water bathe? Does
that sound reasonable? That both you and your pets have
a good time.
And
we all have heard enough stories of dogs, birds and some
cats enjoying the pleasures of ducking out in the water
with or without the floats.
Good! So, I see that you've been won over by my suggestion
- enough to circle out your next holiday for a date by
the poolside.
Now, that we are all in agreement that pets make good
swimming pool pals, there are some other benefits that
come along unasked.
If
you have some cats or dogs that belong to the rarer and
even not so rare breeds, you can be sure to have a host
of admiring eyes riveted towards them...and in the process
at you also.
Just
call out, grin and wave at your pets every now and then.
You will look ever so disarming and friendly. And everyone
in the pool and around the pool will know that the pets
are yours.
Other
things that you can do to draw attention are to may be
let your pets wear some really different collars and ribbons,
with chimes or without.
Leave
alone the regular thoughts that come along - with hopping
off to such a retreat - like that of getting a date.
There
are more practical survival ideas for these difficult
times - which may pop up as you slowly cruise down the
deep end of the pool with your pets holding out your pool
side table.
However,
even if you are conversationally challenged, if you bring
your pets along, you can still make new friends.
Funny! How having your pets around you can feel like such
an empowering experience. Simply remarkable! the effect
that pets have on people. I could write a full book on
this one...
It's
a remarkable thing, but have you noticed that when your
pets are around, someone will always go close to the pooch
to talk to them. Of course, you'll have to talk back to
tell your pet's name and that he doesn't bite, claw or
scratch - whatever.
What
a perfect icebreaker!
Have
you also noticed how much more comfortable you feel when
your pets are around. Now admit it. Actually, conversation
becomes a near effortless job.
The
swimming pool can provide the perfect place to chill out,
network, make new friends, discover new hobbies and float
out some sparkling new adventures.
Try
it out! Have a good weekend by the poolside!
