This weekend watch the clouds making faces at you!

Written by Dr.Laxmi Iyer

Silly isn't it? An exercise that's absolutely, downright childish and silly for an adult, why it sounds ridiculous even for a tween or a teen.

Isn't it a tragedy of modern times that clouds in the sky have become forgotten pieces of nature to be looked at only to predict the weather once the golden age of four is passed?

Do you remember how when you were three years old, you sat all day just looking up at the clouds.

Then, you saw wild horses galloping, Jesus Christ waving out, smiling rabbits, roaring lions, and laughing people...Where did they go? How come after going to school you never again watched the clouds like this.

For a change, grow down...snatch back your baby eyes, milk teeth, elves, fairies and gnomes, dragons and monsters … back from your happy memory stores. Be a child today.

It doesn't matter whether you are past eighty, just retired, a youth, teenager, single parent, working couple....just do something really crazy today...just get as childish as you can and look at the sky.

If you've got supporters from within your family, circle of friends, neighbourhood pals, well and good. If not, play a solo game. It couldn't be more fun.

Talking about games, you can even play a cloud face guessing game where you sit in a circle and each one describes what they can see and you guess the image.

You can get your pets involved in this too! The trick is for everyone to lie down on their backs on the grass and look up at the sky.

In the beginning your pets may not quite get the hang of it. But watching you and especially the young ones in your family, they will take the cues and follow suit.

Don't forget to carry your picnic hamper, camera, camcorder and lots of drawing paper and crayons with you. Make a permanent record of your happy memories.

It will cheer you up on chilly, winter nights and stormy days. For a change, you would have really saved some valuable treasures for the rainy days in your life.

Have fun!
