The Balinese
|
To remember
the Balinese very simply, just think of a long haired
Siamese cat. Vocal, playful and introverted. That's
the Balinese for you.
They
love leaping about - even upto a height of 4-5 feet
in the air.

The Oriental
type is marked by a wedge-shaped head, a long neck, a long
body and legs, and a long, whippy, pointed tail.
Blue eyed and
very similar to the Siamese cat in temperament and intelligence,
Balinese cats look beautiful.
The four solid
point colors associated with the Siamese breed seal, blue,
chocolate and lilac point apply to the Balinese too!
For colours other
than this like - red point, cream point, lynx (tabby) point,
and tortie point, it's a disqualification to classify as
Balinese. They are more correctly identified as Javanese.
The breed was
given a separate breed status by the CCF only as late as
1961.
